Department of Family and Community Medicine

The University of Nevada School of Medicine Las Vegas Family Medicine Residency Program was founded in 1989 and has enjoyed substantial growth and development since that time. Our mission is quality education in Family Medicine. Growth is being realized by enthusiastic endorsement of the School of Medicine, a growing presence at University Medical Center Hospital, more than 11,000 outpatient visits per year at the Family Medicine Center, and a committed group of fulltime, Family Medicine trained faculty.

The three-year residency in Family Medicine is fully accredited by the
Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. Faculty possess a broad range of interests and experience and are dedicated, Board Certified mentors. Residents come from diverse backgrounds and are committed to life-long learning and outstanding patient care.
